This listing is solely for requesting a personalized quote for a custom wedding cake and/or groom’s cake from Hayward Hens Homestead & Bakery. This purchase does NOT include a cake, cake tasting, or reservation of your wedding date.
Creating a custom wedding cake involves much more than simply calculating the number of servings and providing a price. Every wedding cake is individually designed, and preparing an accurate quote requires dedicated time, research, planning, and consideration of numerous details.
Your $25 consultation fee compensates me for the professional time and expertise involved in evaluating your vision and preparing a customized estimate, including:

Cake Flavors: Discussing cake flavors and available specialty options, including dietary accommodations.

Buttercream & Fillings: Selecting complementary buttercream flavors, fillings, and finishing techniques.

Design & Decoration: Reviewing inspiration photos, color palettes, themes, textures, and intricate decorative details.

Sugar Florals: Determining whether handmade buttercream flowers, gumpaste florals, or other edible embellishments are appropriate for your design.

Cake Structure & Servings: Calculating cake sizes, tiers, servings, internal supports, and structural requirements.

Labor & Materials: Evaluating the ingredients, specialty supplies, artistic work, and time necessary to bring your design to life.
Important Information
The $25 consultation fee is nonrefundable and covers one initial personalized wedding cake and/or groom’s cake quote, along with one reasonable revision. Additional design concepts or substantial changes may require another consultation fee.
This fee is not a deposit toward your cake order.
Cake tastings are NOT included. Wedding cake tasting boxes are available separately for $30 and include three cake flavors.
Purchasing a quote does NOT reserve your wedding date. All wedding cake orders are subject to availability, and your date is secured only after your order is finalized and payment is received in full.
