This is First Place award-winning recipe where I took my family’s 300 year old recipe and revamped it to make the perfect baking consistency to create decorated Gingerbread cookies. This recipe took First Place in the 2024 Newnan-Coweta Magazine’s Christmas Cookie Contest. This is also my most popular Christmas cookie. My Scottish mammy and I would make these every year on Christmas Eve and gift to the unhoused in downtown Indianapolis before returning home to share dinner and gifts with our family.
